Our newest family members!

I have been asking Josh for a pet because I really felt like I needed something to cuddle with. A puppy, kitten, anything that I can hold and take care of. Well we live in a basement apartment so pets are not allowed. :( So Josh comprimised and for Christmas he got me something that I could take care of- Introducing....Float, Flotsam, and Jetsam!!!!!

Float is my fish, Flotsam is the fatter frog sitting closer to float and Jetsam is the skinny guy at the top. Aren't they so cute?! (My sister, Taylor, helped Josh with picking everything out! Thanks TJ!)

Josh picked out the cutest little tank that has rocks in the center and then vinyl that goes up the back and along the bottom. It's all white around the outside and so cute! I was totally impressed that he would pick out such a cute tank! :) I love you Josh and thanks again.

I know this is a random message, I just happen to come across your blog on a friends blog and found yours. All I can say is that my heart aches for you. I have never cried so hard for someone I don't even know. I lost my 1st husband 2 1/2 years ago and sometimes grief is all you feel at times. I am so sorry that this is one of your challenges in life. You never think the things that happen to you would ever happen but the Lord truly gives us strength beyound our own to handle what trails we will face. I don't know what I would have done without Heavenly Father and our Savior. The peace he blesses you with is sometime the only thing that gets you threw. I know that our loss is not exactly the same but if you ever need to chat and vent to a complete stranger just visit my blog and let me know!

Hey Cali,
This is Nikki Souter (used to be Petersen). Annie told me about your sweet baby the day after he passed. I just want you to know I have prayed for you nearly everyday since it happened and I think about you constantly. I too pray for the day when you will become a family of four. Cali, you are one of the strongest people I have ever met, I admire you tremendously. Your family is amazing and it sounds like Josh's is just as supportive. Let me know if you ever need anything, I don't know how you feel but I would love to help.

I love the swimmy frogs. I got Rand to cave and we got some as his gift to me for our one year anniversary. It took me months to come up with names, so way to be quick.

It was good to see you guys last week. Sorry I got there so late and wasn't super social, I was so tired after my long meeting. We need to get together another time with you and the Jensens!

I just have to tell you about something Bryson did today that totally brought tears to my eyes. You know the family picture my mom gave every one for Christmas of Taylor's wedding? Well, we've been having Bryson learn everyone's names by looking at it and pointing to people. He always needs help with Jake, Michelle, Tani, and Kiki because he never sees them and doesn't really remember them. I thought he'd be the same way with Mac, because he's never seen Mac, but today we looked at the picture and I started naming peoples names. With every name I said he pointed to the person I was naming in the picture. For some reason we had never practiced Mac before, but I thought I would try saying his name this time just to see what Bryson would do. I started to cry when his little finger went straight to your tummy!!! We have honestly never taught him that...he just KNEW!!! It was so cool that I just had to share it with you.

I saw this website and thought of you. I learned about your loss through a friend and you and your husbands amazing spirits, and attitude have truly touched me.

On this webpage they will write your child's name in the sand as a little memorial to them. Here is the blog page.
